The light and spacious (65m²) apartment at Chalet Balaena is reached via steps down from the driveway and has its own front door. There are beautiful, unobstructed views of the mountain scenery from the bedrooms and the sitting room, and the apartment has its own terrace and garden. The 2-bedroom apartment sleeps four people in comfort but up to six people may stay and it is fully equipped for this number. In winter, central heating makes it cosy and warm, and there is always plenty of hot water.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
There are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Each bedroom has large built in wardrobes as well as a chest of drawers (also provided in the living room). There are also two easy-folding sofa beds with futon style mattresses in the living room. The large bathroom has a full-length bath with shower over, a large basin, cupboards and heated towel rail. There is a separate WC. In addition there is a further small shower room with WC and basin. A washing machine is provided in the large bathroom. Clothes may be dried outside or dry quickly overnight with the heated floor.
Living Room:
The sitting area is furnished with two sofas and good-sized coffee table. For entertainment, there is a TV with DVD, along with some DVDs, books and games. There is also a CD/Radio/cassette player. Wi-Fi is available.
Kitchen and Dining Area:
The kitchen is equipped with a 4-plate gas hob and full-size electric oven, a large fridge, a dishwasher and a full range of cooking equipment. The dining area has a large table and has matching sets of glasses, cutlery and crockery for six people.
Storage:
The hallway has plenty of space to store skis, boards and boots and to hang outdoor clothing.
Garden:
A French window opens out from the living area onto the South-facing lawn. A table, chairs and parasol are provided, along with a couple of loungers and cushions. There is a simple barbecue that can be used on still days.
Parking:
There is private parking for 1 or 2 cars on the driveway, which is kept clear of snow in winter.
